Multi-disciplined American artist John Moletress comes to Birmingham for this year’s SHOUT with Untitled Cruising Project, a specially commissioned interactive digital performance where real life becomes virtual reality and audiences are invited to control John’s actions broadcast from sites across the city in real-time into the gallery space.
Traversing the gap between digital queer spaces and physical locations around the city Untitled Cruising Project explores the politics of online anonymity and transactional body in both the physical and virtual world, blurring the lines between the realms of online sex forums and former cruising sites.
