At the end of September, Shout Queer Arts & Culture and Birmingham LGBT Centre had the privilege of collaborating with The Pansy Project, founded by artist Paul Harfleet, for a very special series of events.
Paul Harfleet is currently seeking locations to plant pansies at sites of homophobia and transphobia in Birmingham, in association with Shout Queer Arts & Culture.
A new generation of practitioners will now create a new website, collect new oral histories to capture a new layer of LGBTQ+ stories of Birmingham and produce an LGBTQ+ heritage talks programme and exhibition.
