SHOUT 2020 Micro-Commissions
‘How I’m Feeling Now’
SHOUT have launched a new micro-commission fund for our 2020 festival addition that asks applicants to respond to how they’re feeling right now, as a member of the LGBTQ+ community.
We are on the hunt for the brilliant LGBTQ+ performance artists and theatre-makers to fund, in order to create digital interventions that will take place throughout the festival period (5th – 15th November 2020).

We are looking for new voices and the next generation of Midlands queer theatre/performance makers and artists. As part of SHOUT’s ongoing commitment to support and develop queer artistic practices in the Midlands These micro-commissions will offer a testing ground for artists to experiment with digital performance work and receive feedback. We are also hoping to build new relationships with artists through this process with a view to potentially developing full scale work in the future.
Got a digital performance idea you want to test in front of an audience? Then get involved.
All you need to do is complete a short application form and return it to us by Monday 7th September 2020.
All successful applicants will receive £200 – £300 to cover any associated costs, and some mentoring and critical feedback from the SHOUT team.
