Nightingale50: Information Evening

Join us for the Nightingale50 Information Evening to find out more about the project and how you can get involved.

Nightingale50 is a brand new heritage project recording the histories of Birmingham’s iconic Nightingale Club, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Birmingham LGBT is looking for people to get involved and help make this fantastic community project happen!

We need your stories, the stories of unforgettable nights out, dancing under the mirror-ball for the last song of the night, opening up, last orders, bringing people together, finding community, finding the dancefloor, finding yourself. Whatever your memories, we want to hear them.

We are also looking for a team of dedicated volunteers with a passion for Birmingham’s local LGBTQ+ history to help make this happen, interviewing people, researching and recording histories, and helping to build an archive.

Want to find out more? Want to be involved? We’re hosting an information evening on Weds 9th October. Come along to hear about the project, find out about being a part of the project, and sign up to get involved. There will also be an opportunity to ask any questions.

To get a volunteer application form or to find out more details email Adam Carver on Nightingale50@blgbt.org
