QUE.E.F Collabs Present: My Whole World is Coming Apart

In Residency with Pretty Grim
Ft Samiir Saunders, Pretty Grim & Black Pepper

This live recorded electronic synthesized AV performance will be filmed at the infamous Islington Mill warehouse.

Pretty Grim have created an adaptable and immersive AV experience combining their love of raucous live gigs, electronic music, queer culture & immersive performance art. ‘My Whole World Is Coming Apart’ is an intense, cathartic, joyful rage of sonic frequencies paired with live visuals and poetry from Samiir Saunders ‘Poetober’ series

The elusive Pretty Grim are a supergroup of sorts. Anna Palmer of Dorcha, Kaila Whyte of Youth Man and Meesha Fones of QUEEF both make up this alt-rock outfit.
The layers of Fone’s thrashing drums are sliced by Whyte’s idiosyncratic guitar and topped by Palmer’s wails into the mic – the perfect cakey concoction of grinding proto-metal and angular punk, with a sense of fun that is purely infectious.

Samiir Saunders – (he/him) is an artist, poet, and filmmaker from Birmingham, UK. He primarily creates mixed-media poetry; which takes the form of films, zines, animations, performances and/or websites. Samiir’s work explores themes of digital technology, fragmentation, and Black mental health. Website: https://samiirsaunders.com/

QUE.EF is a response to the lack of live music events for LGBTQI+ bands and electronic
performers. We offer a space for audiences and performers to express their full creative self
within a mindful setting that takes full responsibility to express the same.
We are breaking down normative structures of experiencing performance, that disconnect
performers and audience, or organiser and performer.

WE ARE… TECHNO LOVING, DISCO PUMPING, TRASHY QUEER PUNKS!
